Eva Azevedo, Dancer, Choreographer, Researcher and African Dance Teacher
"Eva reads the Dance of oest cost of África, expressed in the consciousness of the anatomy of the body, acquired with the Pilates method. Respecting the nature of the movement, she transmits its essence to different socio-cultural audiences."
Eva began his professional career in the Classical Ballet, moving to contemporary Dance, Contact / Improvisation, Air Dance, Theater, Butôh, Organic Movement, African and Afro-Contemporary Dance.
Is attending a PhD in Dance at the University of Lisbon's, Human Motricity Faculty and has been an African Dance Teacher since 2003.
He is a member of UNESCO International Dance Council - CID.
Has been trained in African "Traditional" Dance and Afro-Contemporary Dance in Senegal, Guinea Conakry, Burkina Faso, Benin, France and Spain.

In 2017, in the continuity of his research work, with the collaboration of the choreographer Vincent Harisdo, started the OLOKUM project. With the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in 2018 he presents his solo "OLOKUM" at the "Une autre façon de découvrir la danse" festival in Benin; in the "Encounter in Transit" at ETEC Arts in São Paulo and in the V International Interchange of Contemporary Black Dance in Campinas, Brazil.
She was founder, dancer and choreographer of the SEMENTE group of the SEMENTINHA Project / School.
Her training is also supported by PILATES (ALM Pilates Institute), being a teacher of this modality at ESMAE - Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espetáculos and in several dance schools.
She has been working as a dance instructor for children in various educational, artistic and social projects since 2002, highlighting the MUS-E PROJECT supported by the Ministry of Education and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
Organizes events and trainings on African culture, highlighting the event "24H TO AFRICA TRIP".
