biography

At the age of 6, she began her training in dance, obtaining the 6th Grade in Classical Ballet from the Royal Academy, and at 14 in music, obtaining the 4th Grade in Conservatory in Violin. Since 1997, she has dedicated her career to dance and traditional music, as a teacher, dancer, choreographer and violinist.

In her dance training, she highlights training with: Maurizio Padovan (Faculty of Musicology of the University of Pavia - Italy), Marina Piškorić (National Folk Dance Emsemble of Croatia), Tullia Gibescu (National Dance Center of Bucharest - Romania), Sophie Kalisz (Belgium), Isabelle Guerbigny (France), Mirjam Dekker (Holland), Mercedes Prieto and Sérxio Cobos (Spain), Javier Muela (Spain), Mónica Sava (Italy), Prisca Diedrich (Germany), Peter Piszczatowski (Poland) and Olena Yeremenko (Ukraine).

Currently, she teaches Traditional Dances for adults at the Contagiarte Cultural Training Center, at the Ermesinde Academic and Cultural Association and at Giu - Espinho Urban Intervention Group; for seniors at the Sabedoria de Canelas Cultural and Recreational Association; and Creative Dance for Children at Educasom - Arts and Culture Association.

Since 2010, he has been organizing courses and events that promote traditional culture, including the Byonritmos Festival, where he is responsible for programming and producing. Since 2010, he has been a director (President of the Board) at Popolomondo - Associação Cultural.

In the performing arts, she was a composer, violinist, singer and dancer between 2004 and 2010, in the world music group MU, winner of the Carlos Paredes Prize 2009. She currently works with the folk dance groups Bailómondo and Dunya, and the Inclusive Dance group Síncrone.
